Is Hell Eternal.

hell
What does  the bible says about hell. Jesus said if your hand or foot causes you sin, cut it off and cast it from you. it is better for you to enter life lame or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet, to be cast into EVERLASTING FIRE ( Matt 18:8 ).
Eternal fire is real. Jesus said it was. In fact Jesus spoke a great deal about hell.
There will be a day of judgment when all people face God. Those who are not covered by the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross will be cast out into hell where they will undergo eternal punishment. In ( Matt 25 ) The Lord  explains what will happen with the righteous and the wicked. In verse 46 He says that the wicked will go into EVERLASTING PUNISHMENT, but the righteous into ETERNAL LIFE.
This is why the gospel is so important. It MUST be preached.
Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me, has EVERLASTING LIFE, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from DEATH TO LIFE ( John 5:24 ).
Following a  some verses that show the eternality of hell and punishment. God uses different phrases to describe the same thing.
  • These shall be punished with EVERLASTING DESTRUCTION from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power ( 2 Thess 1:9 ).
  • As Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the PUNISHMENT OF ETERNAL FIRE ( Jude 1:7 ).
  • These are spots in your love feasts, while they feast with you without fear, serving only themselves. They are clouds without water, caried about by the winds; late autum trees without fruit, twice dead, pulled up by the roots; raging waves of the sea, foaming up there shame; wandering stars for whom is reserved THE BLACKNESS OF DARKNESS FOREVER ( Jude 1: 12-13 ).
  • And the smoke of their torment ascends FOREVER AND EVER; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name ( Rev 14:11 ).
Jesus also talked about unquenchable fire. His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into His barn; but HE WILL BURN UP THE CHAFF WITH UNQUENCHABLE FIRE ( Matt 3:12 ).  In Mark 9:43 and Luke 3:17 we read the same words ‘unquenchable fire.’
If we look at the elementary principles of Christ, found in ( Hebrews 6 ) we read in verse 2   ‘ETERNAL JUDGMENT’   This list in chapter 6 of Hebrews verses 1 and 2 is the basic foundation of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
We see from the word of God that hell is PERMINANT.
I would like to encourage you that you read these scriptures, but not just the verses given but to read the context in order to get a clear picture and understanding.
God Bless you as you read and study His word.
In His name. Amen.
